Change is good

July 2025 update.

If you know us we always are looking for new ways to incorporate healing techniques into our bodywork practice.

And this sometimes means letting things go. Out with the old, in with the new.

If you looked at our website, you may notice that something is missing. Esthetics is no longer offered at Nurture. This branch of the business just wasn’t going anywhere. It’s not what we’re passionate about and it just doesn’t make sense to keep it around. So we apologize to anyone who newly discovered it, just to have it taken away.

In with the new …

I have been doing some research into red light and near red light therapy. It is pretty cool! Red and near red light stimulates the ATP (energy) production within your cells (photobiomodulation) that literally is used to heal your body. More healing energy = a healthier terrain for your body. Im working out how to incorporate this into massage, but don’t be surprised if I ask if you want to check it out! The important thing to know about light therapy is that it needs to be consistency is key. The light “dosage” is less than you think with a high quality panel. It is possible to overdo it and easy to underdo it. (no benefit either way). It is said that about 10-15 minutes per day at 3/4 days per week is what to aim for.

Red light benefits include:

  • Skin improvement, Increased Collagen production

  • Reduced inflammation and pain, specifically joint pain, arthritis, chronic pain, muscle strains

  • Neuroprotective and brain health

  • Mitochondrial support

  • Hair regrowth, stimulates blood flow to the scalp

  • May improve sleep

Beautiful light
